Courtyard Hardwood Deck

Hardwood deck in a sheltered courtyard between rendered walls, with a picture-framed edge beside a bed of young magnolias

The project

A low hardwood deck laid across a courtyard enclosed by the house on three sides, with boards running the width of the space and a picture-framed edge along the garden bed.

The deck steps down slightly across its length to follow the courtyard, and finishes against the paved path and a row of young magnolias.
